Olympic T-shirt

One of our reading tasks was to make a t-shirt for the Olympics. I chose the kiwi because it's New Zealand's national bird, then I chose the New Zealand Olympic uniform because it looked cool and I chose the rings because it looks a bit better with them on.

What are the Paralympics?

For reading one of our tasks on our chart thing was to do research on the Paralympics.

What are the Paralympics?

Athletes with a variety of disabilities compete in the Paralympics, which are a periodic series of international multi-sport events involving athletes with a variety of disabilities such as limited muscle power, impaired passive range of motion, limb deficit, leg length difference, and so on.

Paralympic athletes compete in 6 different disability groups; amputee, cerebral palsy, visual impairment, spinal cord injuries, intellectual disabilities and ‘les autes’.

Paralympics started on 18th-25th september 1960 in Rome six days after the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games. Since then, 2,860 gold medals have been awarded in the sport.

In 1962, an Auckland paraplegic competed in the British Commonwealth Paraplegic Games in Western Australia, marking New Zealand's first participation in disability sports.

In January 2007,  the New Zealand Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Federation was formed as the National Paralympics New Zealand. This was to gain greater public awareness and raise the profile of disability sport by focusing on its most prestigious event - the Paralympic Games.

Hitting The Target Re-tell

 Hitting the Target

Hitting The Target - Stock Motion Graphics | Motion ArrayOnce there was a man who was 30 and a serial killer. He wore an all white mask. He would kidnap kids, teens and even young adults and tortured them before killing them in disturbing abandoned places. After he stabbed his 250th victim with a knife that had old blood stains, he wanted to do something else so he wasn’t a suspect. After about 10 minutes of thinking, he decided that he would do archery because he was good at shooting things. He then began training 24/7 and sometimes he would pass out like a rock hitting the hard concrete. After weeks or months he began to do competitions. After a few years, he was the best archer in the world. He won 15 big trophies and 10 golden medals for being the best.

A lot of people asked how he was good at archery. But he would always tell them with a smile, “Practice makes perfect.”

One day, a man who was in his late 20´s wearing a black and white suit like a businessman, told him that “You’re not the best at archery and I know someone who is better than you!” The archer didn’t believe him and yelled,”No there’s not!” so the man took the archer to a farm. When they got there, they saw hundreds of humongous targets and a man. They went over to the man and the man's name was Jeffrey. The archer was shocked because all the arrows were in the exact center of the targets. The archer asked, “How do you shoot the arrow in the exact center?” Jeffrey replied with a smile, “Well, you do things your way and I do things my way.” The archer was so confused and asked, “What do you mean?” Jeffrey replied with, “Well, you see, I first shoot the arrow and then I paint on the target.” The archer was surprised and yelled at Jeffrey, “THATS CHEATING!”

The man that took the archer to Jeffrey had left. Now it was Jeffrey and the archer. The archer took Jeffrey by the shirt, and shoved him in the boot of his car. The archer then drove off to an abandoned place. By this time it was 2:37am. Jeffrey was so confused by what was happening. The archer then took Jeffrey out of the boot and tied him to  a chair. Jeffrey asked the archer,

“What are you going to do to me? Kill me?

“Actually yeahh, I am. Any last words?”

“Yea, the cops are 7 minutes away.”

When the police got there, they saw the archer with a knife in his hand and a stab wound in Jeffrey’s chest. They yelled with their guns in their hands, “PUT YOUR HANDS UP!” But the archer didn’t...
