Kia Ora, Over the past week for writing we have made a fictional story to make our reader feel emotion.
Our learning intention this week was to deepen our understanding of descriptive language by creating feelings for our reader, such as empathy. We also looked into the effects of short sentences.
I was filled with sadness. My favorite companion Marley had pain in his eyes. I was telling him he was a good boy. I gave Marley his favorite toy. I struggled to say goodbye to my best friend . I was having my soul being crushed as the life drained from Marley’s eyes. I begged the gods to let Marley live another day. The silent night gave me the time to whisper into Marley’s ear about how much I loved him. My stomach felt like a waterfall. It fell deeper and deeper into my body. I couldn’t believe that Marley was gone.
What do you think should happen next?
